Guided Bird Tour with Birds Georgia
July 27 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Join us for a beginner-friendly bird-watching adventure through two beautiful Wylde Center gardens just a short distance apart: Hawk Hollow (Kirkwood neighborhood) and Sugar Creek (Oakhurst neighborhood). On this trip, we will seek out woodpeckers, hawks, as well as resident and summer-breeding songbirds.
We’ll start our journey at Hawk Hollow and then take a short, half-mile walk along surface streets to the nearby Sugar Creek. Along the way, we’ll also explore the neighborhood to identify birds in various habitats.
This event will be led by Birds Georgia’s representative Jamie Vidich, accompanied by Wylde Center’s Executive Director Jennifer Gerndt who will share their expertise about the gardens and the diverse bird species you can spot during this season.
Don’t forget to bring your binoculars and a water bottle – a refill station will be available. This FREE event is open to the public. Begins at 8:00AM and will end at approximately 9:30AM. REGISTER HERE to secure your spot!
