Wylde Gardening: Plant your Second Summer Garden and Garden Tour
July 9, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Our Atlanta summer growing season is so long that we can sow 2nd and sometimes 3rd plantings of certain vegetables, herbs, and flowers. This is especially helpful when you start your garden late or vegetables you planted back in April have slowed down or (yikes!) died. Stephanie will review a list of vegetables, herbs, and flowers you can plant as late as the end of July with enough time to harvest before the first fall frost.
Program will include a tour of the vegetables growing at the Edgewood Community Learning Garden. Have questions about what is going on in your own garden? Stephanie will do her best to answer them during our Q&A session and tour.

Instructor: Stephanie Van Parys is the Executive Director at Wylde Center. She earned a degree in horticulture from the University of Georgia, and for the last 30 years, has been growing vegetables in our beautiful red clay soils.
