Wylde Gardening: The How-To’s of Fig Pruning (IN PERSON)

Did you know that, unlike most other fruiting trees, the best time for pruning fig trees in Georgia is right after they finish fruiting? Join our Site Coordinator Joy at our Edgewood Community Learning Garden for a fig pruning workshop as she prunes the three large fig trees in the garden. We will discuss proper pruning techniques for size and shape. Attendees will be allowed to bring home cuttings to attempt to grow their own tree. Participation is limited to six people.

Please note: This program is not a webinar and will be hosted in-person at our Edgewood Community Learning Garden. Participants will be given the option to participate in a hands-on component. Attendance will be limited to 6 people. Please bring a mask to wear when needed.
