Homeschool Fridays: Stream Exploration

Homeschool Fridays give home school students and groups the opportunity to participate in a Wylde Center Field Trip. Students will receive a tour of the garden, learn along side other students, participate in hands on activities, and connect with nature. Each month we will cover a different topic in environmental science, gardening, and food education.

Ages: 5-12 years old

Location: Hawk Hollow Garden – 2304 1st Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30317

Topic: Stream Exploration & Habitats Program

Cost: $16 per child, registration required.

It is reccomended that students be dropped off during the program, but parents are welcome to stay on site if they would prefer.

This program takes place entirely outdoors. Students should be dressed appropriately for weather and bring a water bottle with them. In the case of extreme weather, we will cancel and refund this event. We will be taking students on a walk through the stream at Hawk Hollow. The stream depth does not exceed one foot. Rubber boots will be provided or students can bring their own water shoes.

Registration closes on September 27 at 9PM. A minimum of three students is required to host this program. If the program is cancelled, you will receive notification and a full reimbursement.
