Join us on Saturday, September 14 for Wylde Center’s Fall Plant Sale Festival. Enjoy informational presentations, live music & refreshments alongside our diverse array of vegetables, herbs, and flowers available for purchase. Prices range from $2 to $5 for vegetables and herbs. All proceeds benefit Wylde Center.
From 10 AM – 1 PM on September 14, Wylde Center will be holding a series of presentations on the hour and will range in topics dealing with fall planting, native plants, and composting tips. Seating space is limited and first come, first served!
Fall Plant Sale Festival Speaker Schedule:
10 AM: Planting a Fall Garden (Stephanie Van Parys, Wylde Center)
11 AM: Impact of Large Scale Composting (CompostNow)
12 PM: Native Plants in your Yard and Garden: Why and How (Beech Hollow Wildflower Farm)
1 PM: Menu of Possibilities: Edible Plants in an Urban Environment (Robby Astrove, Dekalb Co Park Ranger)
Stop by between 2 – 5 PM and Wylde Center will be offering live music and refreshments to visitors as they shop for their fall gardens. Nelson Jones will be performing from 2 – 3 PM. Then, join us for a live music set from Matt Donald and Ol’ Matt Donald’s Farm from 3:30 – 5 PM.
Worried that you will work up an appetite with all your shopping? Doggy Dogg will be dishing up the best hot dogs in Atlanta & Mariposa Popsicles will be serving their locally made vegan pops on-site in the afternoon.
If you cannot make it to the festival, please note that Wylde Center’s Fall Plant Sale will be ongoing throughout early and mid September. Stop by anytime to pick out vegetable transplants that are grown onsite, herbs, flowers, and perennials for your garden. Specifically, you will find vegetables that are perfect for the fall garden including Asian greens, artichokes, cardoons, lettuces, chard, peas, kale, broccoli, cabbage, and so much more.
