Does your kid love to cook, try new foods, and spend time in the garden?

Come join us during the 2025 Winter Break at Edgewood + Coan Garden for Cooks Gone Wylde where young chefs will embark on a delicious adventure exploring the journey of food from farm to table! Using fresh, locally-sourced produce, campers will learn about the origins of ingredients while discovering fun and creative cooking techniques. Through hands-on activities, they’ll practice recipe writing, meal planning, and understanding how to cook on a budget—all while building confidence in the kitchen. This camp blends culinary skills, nutrition education, and creativity to inspire a lifelong love for sustainable eating. Your budding chef will go home with personal recipe books and much more. Sign up today and watch your child’s passion for food grow!

There is a small camper to educator ratio with a maximum of 16 campers per session, so please register ASAP!

Meet the “Cooks Gone Wylde” Educators

Lisa Hanson – Lisa brings extensive experience and enthusiasm as a gardener, chef, and “crafter.”  A trained Master Gardener in northern New England, Lisa spearheaded two new community gardens in Reynoldstown and Cabbagetown and was involved in the early stages of the East Atlanta and Grant Park Farmers Markets.  A former restaurant owner and chef, she is the recipient of Aetna’s “Healthiest Cook in America” title, has been featured on the Food Network  and has been a Slow Food delegate to Terra Madre in Italy and Slow Food Nation in San Francisco. Lisa particularly enjoys working with younger students, passing on the gift she was given as a child:  an appreciation of and curiosity about all aspects of nature – whether found in a crack in the sidewalk, a garden plot or a forest walk.

Tatiana Gonzalez– Tatiana, known by students as Miss T, started her farm to school journey as a FoodCorps Service Member with the Wylde Center from 2022-2023. Tatiana received her Masters in Public Health from Emory University, focusing on local and global food security initiatives. At the Wylde Center, she brings a refreshing perspective on culturally inclusive learning, discovering ways to incorporate the many facets of culture into the garden space. Since then, she has worked with students in school and community garden spaces, as well as serving farm to table meals at local farmers markets throughout Atlanta. She is passionate about nature, cooking, poetry, and mindful movement, as well as helping others connect with themselves, their community and their environment.
