Camps for Children

Summer Camps

This year the Wylde Center Education Team is offering summer camp at three of our five greenspaces. While we will miss being at Oakhurst Garden this summer due to the renovation, we will be exploring our other sites, each offering different and exciting new experiences for our campers.

All camps are open to rising kindergarten through rising 5th grade students.

GARDEN TO TABLE CAMP AT EDGEWOOD GARDEN

The Edgewood Community Learning Garden was rebuilt in 2014/2015 to better meet the needs of the school-aged kids in the community. Serving as a demonstration garden, there are fruit trees, veggie beds, compost bins, pollinator plants, ornamentals, a rain garden, and a play area with a treehouse. The space also includes a modern community center where events, classes, cooking demos, summer camps, afterschool programs, and meetings can be held.

Campers learn about gardening, healthy nutrition, food safety, and kitchen skills while cooking with the harvest from the camp garden!
