We hope your camp is memorable and pleasant.
*At least one month notice preferred to book your camp at Oakhurst Garden.*
All camps require a Security Deposit that will be returned to you once your camp is over and we have received clearance from our Oakhurst Garden Site Coordinator that there was no trash left behind and no damage done to the Garden. Violation of the policies outlined in our Rental Agreements may result in your Deposit not being fully refunded.
All blocks of rental time include setup/cleanup.
Occupying the Garden before or after rental times will result in additional charges.
Private Party Room – Each camp includes full access to the Private Party Room in the back of the house which includes a bathroom, full kitchen (fridge, stove/oven, sink), and a room with tables and chairs for 15-20 people. This room must be restored to its original condition after your event to receive your full Deposit refund.
Mosquito Treatment – Concerned about mosquitoes? We will take care of it effectively and naturally in advance. For $35 we will secure the common area between house and chicken coop. For $70 we will secure common area and the areas around the pond. This service must be requested at least one week in advance.
Chaperones – Your camp must provide an adult chaperone each day the camp is in session. If you use the fire pit, a Wylde Center Chaperone is required for your event.
Portable Toilets – All camps with 50 people or more must rent their own portable toilet. Our preferred service is National Rentals. Please contact them at 770.819.7787.
Pit Use – A fire pit that is available for you to use during your camp. If the fire pit needs to be emptied, please use the metal bin located behind the sinks marked WOOD ASH. Half burned logs should be left in the fire pit until they are completely used and should not be left anywhere on the property. Please do not put hot ash or wood in the bin. All fires must be completely extinguished before you leave the property. A Wylde Center Chaperone is required if you will be using the fire pit with your camp.
Weather Policy – In the event of inclement weather on the day of your event, we are happy to work with you to reschedule for another day. If you choose not to reschedule, the full amount of the rental fee will still be due. Last-minute cancellations of outdoor rental events due to inclement weather will not be considered for refunds.
Notes for all camp rentals:
Oakhurst Garden is a public space. We are unable to close the Garden to our regular visitors during your event, which means you might have a few extra witnesses to your camp! Also, we ask that your event be mindful of our neighbors and carpool if possible.
Rental Clients are responsible for providing/renting their own tables, chairs, tents, coolers, etc.
The Event Coordinator will alert you if your requested date is available.
(Please note: Currently the Event Coordinator is a part-time position, so requests are processed as quickly as possible in the context of that part-time schedule.)
To move things along, you can go ahead and pay your Deposit, giving you priority on an open date.
Also, go ahead and submit your Rental Agreement and your rental request will be put into processing.
