Children’s Birthday Themes
1. A Faerie Affair
One of our most popular party themes, the Faerie Affair is a great option year round. Girls tend to request this option the most but boys tend to enjoy participating. We recommend this party theme for ages 3-9. Guest will be greeted by a magical faerie host. Activities include faerie music, poem, Magic wand craft to take home, a garden tour to look for faerie abodes and treasure, and a birthday blessings. All participating children will take home a wand and faerie treasure. The birthday child will receive and extra special gift from the garden faeries. Boys tend to enjoy being wizards for this party.
2. An Urban Farm Experience
The Urban farm party involves some or all of the following (depending on age, attitude/vibe, and size of party)
- Chicken encounter- photo time
- Dig for worms and or just feed the chickens grains, clovers, and worms
- Pick herbs for herb bundle/necklace to take home
- Tour the garden identifying veggies and plants
- Decorate a peat pot and plant it with veggies to take home
- Taste honey from the bees and flowers of the Oakhurst garden
- Play a veggie identify bean bag game with sticker prizes.
3. Winter Wonder Wander (November-February)
This party option is great for the colder times of the year. First we will make a craft to take home using seeds. We will then visit the chickens, feed them, and pet them. Depending on the state of the garden, we make pick some veggies for the birthday child or create herb bundles to take home. The party host will show the guests how to build a fire and collect proper marshmallow roasting sticks. For the finale, we will roast marshmallows and play a veggie identify game to win stickers. We recommend this party theme for ages 3-10.
4. A Bug’s Life ( Late March- October)
Get a bug’s eye view of the garden! Learn about and search for the creep crawly critters that make our soil fertile, the flowers happy and the veggies grow! Each child will catch/release live bugs to examine the unique features. We may collect bugs to feed to the chickens. We will make antennae for each child to take home. As a finale, we will wear our antennae and play a bug crawl game to win stickers. We recommend this party theme for ages 3-9.
We have a limited number of party hosts. We ask that you pay your commitment deposit before we begin looking for a host for your birthday party.
Fees (updated for mid-year starting June 1):
- Garden Member Fee: $175 (maximum 15 invited guests)
- Non-Garden Member Fee: $200 (maximum 15 invited guests)
- Additional Children Fee: Each additional child is $5
- A $25 deposit must be made to reserve your party
- Security deposit of $100 is required at time of reservation and fully refunded after event upon inspection of grounds.
Fee covers:
- 3 hours ( Set up and Break down)
- up to 15 children
- 1 hour of instruction with party host
- Fee also covers use of a private room, restroom,Kitchen, and outside space.

Garden will provide:
- Recycling bins
- Trash cans with liners
- Tables and chairs

If Andrea, Miss Lady Bug, is available to host your party you can request biodegradable animal balloons and Face Painting for an extra amount of $50. Contact us for rental contract, questions and availability events@wyldecenter.org
