The Wylde Center provides teacher trainings are designed for anyone who wants create unforgettable learning experiences and needs strategies to facilitate discovery and exploration.
Our workshops focus on hands-on experiences designed to help teachers develop skill and techniques for using your schoolyard habitat to support classroom learning. This approach can focus specifically on the Farm to School initiative and its integration into multiple subject areas using experiential learning or it can be more generally focused on facilitating environmental stewardship.
We collaborate with partners to offer a combination of hands-on experiences, sample lesson plans, resource materials, and informational sessions. We train participants how to use the basics of organic gardening, permaculture, nutrition, garden design, team building, fundraising, and art in the garden to support curricular learning.
